eProcurement - Punch Out With eProcurement
If you already have an in-house eProcurement system you can still use and take advantage of Equanet’s advanced eProcurement facility using our revolutionary punch out technology.
Most companies are now familiar with buying through eProcurement systems and are aware of the advantages the ability to see who is spending what and what it is being spent on. You can throw out unnecessary paper work involved with requisitions and reduce the time spent getting competitive quotes.
However, most companies already have their own internal systems in place for eProcurement or they use an off-the-shelf system built on a conventional B2B marketplace, e-commerce, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or Request Management platforms, such as Ariba, Oracle, Biomni, SAP or Elcom. But that needn’t stop you using the Equanet eProcurement system.
Where the Equanet website differs from other websites is in its ability to integrate with many existing purchasing or ERP system that you might be running.
With Equanet you can ‘punch out’ from your own system and enter the Equanet eProcurement website to select products, and then return to your own system with all product data, ready for the internal approval process.
The Scottish Office is one of Equanet’s eProcurement portal users (see case study) and is seeing real benefits from the punch out functionality. Simon Lucas from the Communication & Information Services Division at Scottish Executive, says, “The punch out solution has resulted in a more efficient trading relationship between Equanet and ourselves, as there are now fewer errors and therefore fewer payment queries, which benefits both parties. “By punching out directly to the Equanet website I can secure the correct GCat Catalyst member pricing and check product availability immediately. Being able to do this reduces delivery times significantly, increasing internal customer satisfaction.” While the punch out technology is advanced, the time to implement the solution is short. To implement punch
out into a standard supported system typically takes just 24 to 48 hours.
In addition, Equanet will design and implement a free, bespoke eProcurement solution to meet any specific needs you may have, and then build a solution mapped specifically onto your systems.
Equanet offers this service free of charge and will send an experienced Account Manager and eProcurement professional to meet with you to discuss your objectives.
