Description
The Xerox 4800TA is perfect for the home or small office user who wants a fast and easy-to-use scanner for establishing a paperless office or creating colorful projects for print or Internet use.
The scanner has five One Touch buttons, four of which are pre-configured, allowing you to send scanned images straight to PaperPort for editing, email, OCR for editing text or a printer.
The design appeals not only to people who want the latest technology but also to people who are looking for a scanner that will look great on their desk because the Xerox 4800 range feature a super slim line shape with an attractive metallic-look silver finish for the more stylish conscious user.
48-bit internal color capability recognizes over 281 trillion colors. 48-bit scanners capture more detail in the shadow and highlight areas of an image than their 42-bit predecessors, so you get brighter yellows, richer reds, cooler blues, and everything between.
Other scanners take two complete passes to perform an autocrop scan. The Xerox 4800TA with the revolutionary FlashBack technology saves time by doing it in a single pass. With FlashBack AutoScan enabled, the scanner moves one way to preview the image area quickly, automatically crops to the edges of the photo then reverses direction and performs the final high resolution scan on the return trip.
The Xerox 4800TA includes a built-in backlight and film holder for scanning 35mm slides and negatives. Archive old photos from negatives for higher quality.

DPI
Dots per inch; standard of measurement for the resolution of images. The higher the DPI, the higher the resolution.
